SilverScreen Fabric
Solar Heat and Light Control

Verosol introduces Silver Screen fabric: the innovative break-through in solar heat and light control.

Verosol has developed a technique to apply a highly reflective, ultra-fine layer of aluminum onto a vinyl coated fiberglass screen fabric to dramatically improve the solar energy performance, while also demonstrating excellent corrosion resistance properties.

Whereas common screens are color dependent as it concerns issues like the control of visual glare, control of heat gain (and loss), Verosol SilverScreen is, thanks to the aluminum layer on the reverse side, practically color independent whilst providing you the visual awareness to the outside world, at the same time.

Besides, Verosol SilverScreen adds a contemporary style to architectural design on the interior as well as on the exterior of the building. With SilverScreen, functional and decorative properties fit together perfectly.

Main Advantages of Verosol Silver Screen:
  • Substantial improvement of solar energy performances.
  • Practically color independent.
  • Control of visual glare.
  • Control of solar heat gain and loss.
  • g- and U- values improve dramatically.
  • Visual awareness.
  • Complies with international legislation in the field of visual ergonomics at VDU workstations.

Silver Screen Performances

The visual glare and heat gain properties of common screen depend on the color of the screen. With SilverScreen, thanks to the aluminum layer on the reverse side, these properties are practically independent of the color of the screen. Furthermore, SilverScreen provides a good visual contact to the outside world.

g-Value is the Solar Heat Gain Coefficient and is based on the combination glass and shading. It reflects the portion solar energy which actually enters the interior. g-Value is important for cooling loads in Summer.

U-value reflects the warmth insulation of glass and shading. U-value is in W/m²K and is important for heating in Winter.
